The Health Care Assistant program
at Capilano University changed my life. I learned so much from the instructors,
all experienced and enthusiastic healthcare professionals. I got an understanding
of anatomy and physiology, patient-centred care, and I even learned about
taking better care of myself to better care for others.
I made new friends, met new
challenges, and so enjoyed our time in class, in lab, and in clinical
practicum. The experience was invaluable, and helped me develop the confidence
to pursue a rewarding new career. I love my new job as a Community Health
Worker, which I got as soon as I finished the program.
