Capilano's Student Code of Conduct (B.701) sets out the ways in which the university responds to student misconduct that has the potential for significant impact to learning, property and/or safety. This Policy supports the university in providing a welcoming, respectful, and safe learning community for all members of the university community.
Any member of the university community may make a complaint under Policy B.701 provided that it falls within the scope of the Policy and involves the conduct of a current student. The Student Code of Conduct prohibits behaviour including, but not limited to, the following:

The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for receiving and investigating complaints received under the Student Code of Conduct. This includes review of evidence, speaking to witnesses, and referral to the appropriate form of adjudication. In situations where a student is found responsible for violating the Student Code of Conduct, the following are examples of sanctions that may be decided upon collaboratively or imposed by an adjudicator:
Findings of fact and/or sanctions imposed can be appealed to the Senate Student Appeals Committee provided that the grounds for appeal are met.
