(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—For the first time, a unique Advisory Council comprised of several human resource managers from key North Shore businesses will be providing a special blend of experiential learning next week at Capilano University.

Students in their third and fourth year of the university’s Bachelor of Business Administration degree program will be meeting with eight HR specialists, who have agreed to share their knowledge at some round table sessions. These 30 students, who have a special interest in the career area of human resources management, will benefit from the wisdom of:
District of North Van HR advisor, Rachel Zuckermann
District of West Vancouver HR manager, Susan Ney
North Shore Credit Union HR manager, Janet Burgess
Capilano University HR manager, Barbara Ottley
Purdy's Chocolates HR manager, David Hannigan

Also joining the session will be Target Products HR manager, Betti Clipsham and from the B.C. Human Resources Association, Ian Cook and Elizabeth Bonner.

In total there will be 30 students, eight special guests from the HR field, and three representatives from Capilano University: dean of business, Paul Dangerfield and instructors Charlene Hill and Kathryn Taft.

The event takes place in the Library building, room 321 on Tuesday, September 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
