(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—Capilano's English as a Second Language program is a recent recipient of a Lyn Howes Award, presented annually by the Canada Language Council. The award acknowledges Capilano's outstanding performance and innovation in the delivery of programs and services for the Canadian language training industry.

Capilano offers ESL programs at six different levels and the institution serves students from 45 countries worldwide.

“This award confirms what we’ve known for years – that our preparatory programs are among the best in the country,” said Jackie Snodgrass, Capilano’s vice-president, Education. “We’re thrilled with the recognition and I’m especially excited for our faculty who work hard to make learners from other countries feel welcome and at home in Canada.”
