      (NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.) – In continued celebration of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Studies department at Capilano College is providing a free presentation by Joanne Whitney, president of the Canadian section of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. The WILPF is the oldest existing international feminist and pacifist organization in the world. Titled 92 Year’s of Women’s Peace Activism: Highlights of the History of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, the lecture will take place on Thursday, March 29 in the College’s Library building, room 322 from 12:40 to 1:20 p.m. More information on WILPF can be found at www.wilpf.int.ch.
