(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—Four Bachelor of Business Administration students from the Capilano College School of Business won four of the five individual gold medals up for grabs in the annual B.C. Business Simulation competition (BCBSC) held March 9 to11 at Malaspina University College in Nanaimo.

“This was an incredible achievement,” said Capilano College School of Business instructor and coach, Judith Watson, adding, “We also took a silver medal in the fifth category.”

Members of the winning team were: Craig Bucholz, gold medal winner for top chief executive officer and silver medal winner as head of human resources; Brian Kelenc, gold medal winner for top chief operations officer; Allan Spissinger, gold medal winner for top chief financial officer; and Natalia Chouklina, gold medal winner for top chief marketing officer.

The Capilano College group, also coached by instructor Graham Fane, won an additional gold medal for top degree team and a bronze medal for best strategic plan.

“I think it was very significant that each team member won a gold medal,” Watson added. “It speaks very highly of their individual accomplishments, with their team achievement being acknowledged with the gold medal for top degree team.”
