January 13, 2005: Capilano College students embrace humanity

      (NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—Capilano College students are holding a benefit concert, theatre performance and silent auction on Friday, January 21 at 8 p.m. in the Capilano College Performing Arts Theatre to raise funds for tsunami victims.

      NiteCap, the premiere vocal jazz ensemble of Capilano College’s four-year Jazz Studies degree program, along with other musical guests, will open the show with a 50-minute performance. Exit 22 theatre productions will take on Act II with performances by theatre and musical theatre students. Also included on the evening’s bill will be a silent auction held by students from the Textile Arts department.

      All proceeds will go to OXFAM-Canada. Admission is by donation, with a suggested contribution of $10. Tax receipts are issued for donations greater than $25.
