      (NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—The public is invited to attend two free lectures this fall hosted by the Women’s Studies department at the North Vancouver campus of Capilano College, 2055 Purcell Way. Both are part of the Thomas A. Dohm, Q.C. Lecture Series.

      Conversations with Japanese Feminists by Dr. Marlene LeGates will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 27 in the Fir building, room 206 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Dr. LeGates is a College instructor and participant in the Aichi Gakusen faculty exchange. She will address the question, Are things changing for Japanese women? She will also share the results of her conversations in Japan with academics in the fields of sociology, media production, journalism, reproductive technology, and history.

      The Impact of Colonization Upon First Nations Women by Loraine Littlefield, research coordinator, Snuneymuxw Nation, will be presented on Friday, November 12 in the Cedar building, room 148 from 12:30-2 p.m.
