September 19, 2001: Capilano College announces its 2001/2002 board of governors

(NORTH VANCOUVER)--Five new members have been appointed and one new member elected to the Capilano College 2001/2001 board of governors.
Newly-appointed are: Tom Adair, executive director of the B.C. Council of Film Unions; Shannon Byrne, president and CEO of Paradata Systems; Daryl Collier, lawyer and longtime member of the Capilano College Foundation; Nancy Stibbard, owner and general manager of the Capilano Suspension Bridge; and Simon Fraser University professor, Dr. John Webster. Newly-elected was student representative Magdalena Carrasco.
Continuing their appointments on the board are Richard Davies, Barbara Howard, and Donnaleen Miller. Continuing as elected members are Diane Blaney (representing faculty) and Jennifer Nordstrom (representing staff). Alexandra Hansen was re-elected as a student representative.
Squamish resident and post-secondary instructor, Donnaleen Miller, was voted chair and Barbara Howard was elected vice chair.
Returning nonvoting board members include College president, Dr. Greg Lee, Education Council chair, Paul Mier, and ex-officio representative, James Cooke, dean of Student Services and Foundation programs.
