August 26, 2014: Capilano University launches free mobile application

Introducing The Cap App, the official mobile information hub for Capilano University students

August 26, 2014 (NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.) - Capilano University has launched a free mobile app-The Cap App-to kick off the new school year. The app, available for both iPhone and Android, provides Capilano University students with quick and easy access to student services on their mobile devices. It is a significant step for the university in responding to student demand for a mobile-driven, fast-paced learning environment.

"This app highlights the importance of connectivity amongst our student population by allowing students a quick, efficient and easy way to stay up-to-date on their life here at Cap," says Karen McCredie, Capilano University's Registrar, who spearheaded the project.

The Cap App allows students to check their grades and class schedules, log in to student webmail, manage their library accounts, navigate the university's floor plans and keep up-to-date on the latest news via Cap U's official blog, Your Daily Cap. Other features include emergency phone numbers, area maps and a PDF Viewbook with more to come in future updates.

Compared with accessing these services via online browsers, the mobile application offers faster load times, scaled page viewing, ease of navigation, on-the-go access and a single menu gathering multiple student services into one convenient portal.

The Cap App is available as a free download via iTunes or Google Play. Find more information on the Cap App's official webpage or via Your Daily Cap .
