Disability not a disadvantage at this film camp

“My friend Donna Langille called me right after graduation and said ‘hey I have this really great idea’ and we went with it,” says Tanya Hauswald, co-founder of ReelAbility for Young Artists, a registered non-profit focusing on pairing disabled youth with filmmakers. Their ultimate goal is to bring about inclusive filmmaking for youth with disabilities, starting with access.
“The film industry is not an accessible place, it’s a very closed off world with equipment and props flying everywhere,” says the Capilano U Motion Picture Arts grad. “But being on set is fun, so we thought, let’s try and share that!” More...
