Rob was born in 1976. Star Wars came out in 1977. Rob can directly trace his love and passion for science and technology to when he first saw Star Wars at the age of 5. From there, Rob was hooked on sciences for the rest of his life. In his 3rd year at UBC, Rob realized teaching would allow him to combine his love of sciences with his desire to help people. After a fulfilling seven year stint teaching high school, Rob found a niche with the ABE department at Capilano University. Rob loves the format of the courses, which provides him with the forum to help students improve their study skills and life habits, skills that he did not develop himself until his university years. Rob feels fortunate to be working with wonderful instructors in a program that can literally change student's lives.
Rob currently teaches Math and Student Success (USSD 105), along with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Rob can be found at both campuses in Sechelt and North Vancouver. In his spare time, Rob enjoys playing hockey badly, torturing himself through the Vancouver Canucks, using technology, watching movies and spending time with his wife and two little kidlets. And also, obsessing over Star Wars.
