Studying abroad was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I would highly recommend it to all students looking for a rewarding experience.

There are so many reasons that students should take advantage of this opportunity. The obvious benefit would be that not only do you get to travel, but you get to work towards completing your degree as well. If you are looking for something that will enrich your studies, studying abroad is definitely the way to do it! However, this experience is so much more than a classroom education in another city. At the risk of sounding cheesy, it is an experience that will impact you in ways that I cannot describe through this simple blog post.

Going away to study allows you enter this wonderful world of people that have a passion to expand their knowledge of the world and embrace the unknown. You will make friends that will introduce you to new things: whether it be new experiences or new ways of thinking. The closeness that you form with people when you travel together is something that you can’t compare to relationships you have had with other people for years.

By pushing your boundaries and leaving the familiar comfort of home, you learn more about what you individually can accomplish when you are in a new environment. You may surprise yourself. I know I did. The experience is something that will stay with you long after you have returned home. Additionally, when you return, you will have the unique opportunity to see where you live with fresh eyes. Although it may be hard to imagine leaving the familiarity of home, the excitement of being somewhere new usually takes the fear away. Whether you have travelled before or not, this is definitely something you should consider. Studying abroad was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I would highly recommend it to all students looking for a rewarding experience.
