“You always read or hear about other people's experiences and how they have had the best time ever and met so many awesome new people and went to amazing places and you think it sounds kind of corny, at least thats what I originally thought. I am now one of those people.”
This experience has been one of the best times of my life. Vlissingen was such a cool city to live in, the small town vibe and I really meshed well together and if I could go back and continue living there, I would. You always read or hear about other peoples experiences and how they have had the best time ever and met so many awesome new people and went to amazing places and you think it sounds kind of corny, at least thats what I originally thought. I am now one of those people. The places that I was able to explore and the people I met while exploring or the people I got to explore these places with were incredible. I would not take back one single moment of my time abroad, in fact I would like to still be living in my house with all my roommates and hanging out with all the amazing people I met every night as we have bonefires at the beach or beer pong tournaments at the house.
Before I left on this adventure, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to make friends and I would be to nervous or shy to doing anything. I don’t know why I had those doubts, everyone is in the same position as you so making friends is the easiest thing to do! I can honestly say that I have made new friends, that even though they may be on the other side of the world, I will continue to have a friendship with for years to come! I was even fortunate enough to make new friends from Canada as well, from this side of the country to the other!
Vlissingen, I miss you dearly! One day I hope to return, until then I have my fond memories to drift into dreamland with.
