#PressForProgress this International Women's Day, March 8

March 8, 2018

Today, March 8, marks International Women's Day - a day to recognize women's achievements and the challenges they continue to face in the quest for gender equity.

At CapU, women make up a substantial force of our campus community. Women represent 68 per cent of our employees (administrators, exempts and MoveUP staff) and 51 per cent of our faculty. Women account for 60 per cent of our students. We are fortunate to teach, work and learn in an environment that embraces all of our students, faculty, employees and guests, regardless of gender.

This year's theme for International Women's Day urges men and women alike to #PressForProgress and make positive changes to close the gender gap wherever we can. I encourage you to #PressForProgress by continuing to champion equality and respect and help make our campus community a safe and better place for everyone.
