The Library has many computer workstations located throughout the first floor of the Library. All computers are in the
Collaboration Zone.
All computers can be used to find items in the Library collection - physical and digital.
Please limit non-academic use during peak times: Monday to Friday 11:30am-1:00pm & 4:30-6pm.
Each workstation is connected to the
CapU student network, is
print-ready and can be accessed through student log-in. Community members can ask for access at the Library Services desk.

Working with Documents
Please do not save items to the desktop or My Documents except to facilitate immediate printing.
Remember to email important documents to yourself to ensure you do not lose work. Never open a document directly from email for editing - always save to your H: drive folder FIRST, then edit, save and email for safekeeping.
Laptop Use
The Library provides ample space for laptop use
, including:
- comfortable seating with tablets (main floor)
- outlet-ready laptop table suitable for individual or group study (main floor)
- outlet-ready silent-study carrels (2F)
Wireless Access
Capilano offers free wireless internet access to all active students and employees in the Library and throughout most areas on campus. To gain access to the wireless network you will have to log in as described above. See the
Wireless Access page for more detailed instructions.
Note: Printing from laptops/wireless is available via
CapU Wireless network for PDF documents only. Install a free PDF writer on your computer to convert your documents to PDF format. (Always download from a trusted source, like

Charging Stations
The Library provides two charging stations for your hand-held devices. Ask us where if you can't locate them.
The CSU also provides lockered device-charging stations in their lounge.
