(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—Capilano is putting out a call out for nominations for its special President’s Service Award.
As the institution prepares to celebrate its 40th year, the President’s Service Award will be a means of honouring those people and businesses that have assisted in furthering the institution’s mission of enabling student success.
“There are so many people who have been instrumental in helping us provide a high level of quality educational services since we first opened in 1968,” said Capilano’s president, Dr. Greg Lee. “We felt it was timely to acknowledge their support as we get ready to celebrate 40 years of service to our communities.”
Any member of the general public can make a nomination, which must be received by June 30, 2008. Forms are available by visiting Alumni News and Events, or by contacting the award’s program coordinator, Janis Connolly, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 604.990.7968. Current Capilano employees are not eligible for nomination. Posthumous nominees will be considered.
A final selection will be made by the President’s Service Awards advisory committee with the awards being presented at a gala reception at the Capilano Golf and Country Club on October 16.
