(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—Marshall Axani, a recent Capilano Motion Picture Production program grad, has won the inaugural Motion Picture Production Industry Association Short Film Award at the December Whistler Film Festival. Marshall’s script, package and pitch were chosen by a panel of B.C. film luminaries as the best out of a large and competitive field of contestants. The prize, worth $100,000 in combined cash and services, will allow Marshall to film his short, Light of the Family Burham.
