(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—The Capilano College Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation Lecture Series presents a free lecture by international journalist and bestselling author Hadani Ditmars at the North Vancouver campus of Capilano College on Wednesday, November 30 at 7 p.m. in the Cedar building, room 148. Parking is $3.

A multi-media presentation, complete with live music and video footage, will compliment Ditmars’s unique narration of her travels and work in present-day Iraq, as first told in her bestseller Dancing in the No Fly Zone: a Woman’s Journey Through Iraq. Amid a sea of books written by mainly male U.S. correspondents with little experience of pre-invasion Iraq, Dancing in the No Fly Zone celebrates the culture and humanity of a place that has been demonized, bombed and tyrannized for decades.
