(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—A tsunami benefit at Capilano College originally scheduled for January 21 has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 6 at 8 p.m. in the Capilano College Performing Arts Theatre. The benefit was postponed when a broken GVRD water main forced the closure of the North Vancouver campus from January 19 to 22.

NiteCap, the premiere vocal jazz ensemble of Capilano College’s four-year Jazz Studies degree program, along with other musical guests, will open the show with a 50-minute performance. Exit 22 theatre productions will take on Act II with performances by theatre and musical theatre students. Also included on the evening’s bill will be a silent auction held by students and faculty from the Textile Arts and Studio Art departments.

All proceeds will go to OXFAM-Canada. Admission is by donation, with a suggested contribution of $10. Tax receipts are issued for donations greater than $25.

For reservations, please call the Capilano College Performing Arts Theatre box office at 604.990.7810.

Capilano College’s North Vancouver campus is located at 2055 Purcell Way. Take exit 22 off highway 1. Parking is $3.
