(SQUAMISH, B.C.)—Whether you’re in love or simply a lover of jazz, the third annual Hot Jazz and Tapas event is guaranteed to make you swoon. The fundraising evening will be held on Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m. in Howe Sound Secondary’s Eagle Eye Theatre.
“The event has been a huge success over the years and we’ve raised a lot of money for the Linda Carney Memorial Endowment Fund,” says Capilano College Squamish campus manager Casey Dorin. “This year should be no exception. The food and the music will be terrific and it’s always a good time.”
Vocalists Kate Hammett-Vaughan and Steve Maddock team up with the College's jazz ensemble, NiteCap, to celebrate the theme of love. The evening includes a silent auction and New Orleans-style food in a licensed environment.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Capilano College Squamish campus, 1150 Carson Place. All proceeds support the Linda Carney Memorial Endowment Fund, which benefits students.
“Don’t leave your decision to the last minute, or you might be disappointed,” Dorin advises. “The event sold out early last year.”
