(NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C.)—The Women’s Studies department at Capilano College presents a free lecture on Wednesday, March 5 by author and editor of Feminism & Psychology: An International Journal, Dr. Sue Wilkinson. Her talk, titled The Breast: Representations in Sickness and in Health, is hosted by the College’s International Women’s Day committee. It takes place in the Library building, room 322 at the North Vancouver campus, 2055 Purcell Way, from 12:30 –1:30 p.m. Parking is $3.
Dr. Wilkinson is a Ruth Wynn Woodward endowed professor of Women’s Studies at Simon Fraser University. She has published six books and more than 60 articles on gender issues and feminist research focusing on women’s health, especially breast cancer, and on sexuality and sexual identity.
